EMI Philippines, Inc., a subsidiary of EMI Music based in UK, and one of the major record companies in the Philippines with the largest music publishing catalogue, has assigned E-C Mix Records to archive their library of analogue masters to digital media format in order to be ready for the future-wide use of digital music technology.

EMI Philippines, formerly known as OctoArts EMI Philippines, boast a library containing local artists rosters dating back from the 70's to the present, like pop acts The Boyfriends, Nora Aunor, Lea Salonga, Joey Albert, Joselito Pascual, Eddie Katindig, Jong Cuenco, Jamie Rivera, Thalia, Francis Magalona, The Dawn, Put3ska, Truefaith, Renz Verano, Michael V., Joey Palomar, Rannie Raymundo, The Big Thing, White Lies, Manilyn Reynes, Melody, and Ogie Alcasid just to name a few.

And just this August 2005, EMI Philippines and E-C Mix Records has entered into a new agreement as EMI Philippines commissions E-C Mix Records as its exclusive Recovery and Restoration Specialist in the event of calamities and untoward incidents with regards to their libraries.
