music enthusiasts likes to collect CDs, but what do you do with all of
your piled up "digital wealth"? You need to file and store it.
And in order to preserved and prolong the life of your CDs you need to
store it the way that it should really be handled. The following are the
proper points to store your digital medias.

Storage
facility should be clean, dry, and relatively dark with no sunrays
coming in the room.

The
storage room temperature should be greater than 4ºC (39ºF) but less
than 20ºC (68ºF).

RH
or relative Humidity should be 20% to 50%.

A
temperature of 18ºC and 40% RH (Relative Humidity) is suitable for
long term storage. A lower temperature and RH is highly recommended
for extended term storage.

CD
storing and filing should be made vertically or in upright
position similar to book shelving.

Store
your CDs in a CD jewel case and not in plastic or paper sleeves.

For
archiving your digital media on CDRs, it is recommended that you use
blanks with gold reflective layers (gold colored data side).

Create
a filing system so you can easily find titles when needed.
